Great Benefits Medical Dental 401K Job Details Seeking a highly motivated, responsible, detail oriented, computer savvy Principal Geotechnical Engineer looking for new challenges This person will work closely with other professionals and team members within the organization to develop solutions to geotechnical, geological, and/or environmental projects. In your role as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you---ll be managing complex, high-profile projects from inception to completion. Field investigations, lab testing, stability analyses, seismic response analyses, settlement estimates, lateral earth pressure settlements, shallow and deep foundation evaluations, and ground improvement assess for complex sites. Project and technical task management, including directing and mentoring geotechnical staff, preparing proposals and geotechnical reports, monitoring schedules, scopes and budgets. Development of geotechnical design recommendations and preparation of geotechnical design documents and plans, specifications and cost estimates. Performing routine and sometimes complex field observations, data gathering, and sampling activities to determine strategies. Evaluation of the data gathered, interpreting the results, and formulating recommendations with assistance of senior level staff. Make design recommendations and modifications. Perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills. Ability to complete own design work using CAD or manual drafting techniques. Active liaison with individuals within and outside of Earth Systems. Monitor financial pulse of projects, its timeline and provide technical accuracy. This candidate will have the ability to lead and develop the engineering staff, develop and maintain client relationships, all while providing an exceptional level of customized geotechnical consultation. Minimum 10-15 years California geotechnical project level experience. Group management experience required. Exceptional technical abilities. PE, California, required. GE, California, required.
