We believe in creative thinking and collaboration to help build a better mobility experience for everyone, improving people's ability to move - whether for work or play.What we do:The Sr. Test Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for design and implementation of data acquisition systems to support Test & Evaluation projects. This position is a technical contributor in support of both ground based and airborne test platforms. This role is heavily involved in the building of the test platforms and will work with the technical engineering teams to gather the test instrumentation requirements and then design a system to accommodate these needs.What you can do:Use creativity and engineering principles towards the design of data acquisition and telemetry systems, including component and sensor selectionDesign, procure, install, maintain, and upgrade test instrumentation and telemetry systems based on a set of given and derived requirementsWork directly with project technical teams to collect and understand the project design requirementsProvide solutions to manufacturing, assembly, and installation issues for data acquisition and telemetry systemsCreation and maintenance of test article instrumentation parameter lists for one or more projectsSolve problematic instrumentation and telemetry components, then develop and execute repairs. Create, maintain, and report instrumentation squawk lists for problematic parameters that cannot be fixed between testsRepresent the T&E group in pre- and post-test briefings, reporting to the rest of the team on instrumentation and telemetry status / readinessManage relationships with key material and component vendorsProvide technical support to vendors and manufacturing teamsLead the efforts to procure hardware to support group functionsOther duties as assignedWhat you can contribute:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)A minimum of five (5) years of test engineering experienceProficiency with airborne data acquisition systems, e.g. Teletronics (TTC)Proficiency with various types of transducers, signal conditioning and data encodersProficiency with telemetry systems, e.g. QuasonixProficiency with flight test digital data recorders, e.g. Safran (formerly Zodiac/Heim)Proven knowledge of data processing and storage methods and systems.Knowledge of test methods and lab proceduresKnowledge of Mil Standards, Digital Busses architecture (ARINC, 1553)Strong digital literacy: Microsoft Office including MS ProjectExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive delivery of communication and follow-upExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailMust have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraintsSelf-motivated and forward-thinking personalityYou may also be able to contribute:Hands-on experience in fabrication and implementation of data acquisition and telemetry systems highly desiredExperience using relational database with some programming skills, SQL, VB, C++, .NET, preferredAny offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check.
