We also have a growing office in Chino, California.Location: Chino, CAJob Summary: The Test Probe Product Business Manager will identify, prioritize, and initiate new business opportunities for our testing technology. Execute company strategies to ensure that sales goals are met or exceededProduct SummaryTesting Technology Test Probes/testing-technology/The areas of application for our test probes are extremely wide-ranging. Test probes are used in telecommunications, medical technology, aeronautics, aerospace, the automotive industry, etc. PTR HARTMANN test probes are used as secure and reliable contact elements for testing PCBs (ICT+FT) and cable harnesses.One additional and steadily growing field of applications is the use of test probes as a charging contact (battery test probes, spring-loaded pogo pin-type contacts) for industrial applications or PCB connectors as a single contact or multi-pole contact block.Essential FunctionsMust have experience working for a distributor, OEM, or contract manufacturingMaintain and develop relationships with an assigned customer base primarily in the Electronic & Electrical SIC arenaDevelop tactical sales plans to pursue ambitious growth of our contact probe business in the USAdvises customers on technical solutions and negotiates commercial termsAbility to understand the industry and customer specifications and drawingsUnderstands the landscape of the electronics industryDevelop and maintain relationships with our customers, monitor sales trends and product performance resultsKnowledge of and ability to apply engineering methodologies to solve problemsRequirements:Skills RequiredThorough understanding of PTR Hartmann products & connection technology (terminal blocks, connectors, switches, relays, and test probes)Understanding of how our test probe portfolio applies to the customer challengesDetailed understanding of the electronics testing industryMust have Business Development ExperienceExcellent customer service and negotiation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication for sales presentationsProven ability to build and maintain relationships with clientsAbility to travel regularly (20%)Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong CRM utilization skillsAbility to read and speak English and interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, or diagrams)Education and Experience: 8-10 years' experience working with Electrical Distribution, Contract Manufacturing (CM) and/or Manufacturing Representatives3 years of Sales ExperiencePrefer 2 years minimum of college credits in electrical or mechanical engineeringPhysical Requirements-- - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer-- - Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at timesTravel Requirements-- - Periodic travel will be required to the East Coast office in Frederick, Maryland and European partner sites.-- - Local travel to meet with customers will be expected regularly-- - Occasional travel (up to 20%) to customersPI185168012SDL2017
