Responsibilities SIGN ON BONUS $2,500.00- FT Positions Open- PM or NOC Shift Canyon Ridge Hospital is a leading Behavioral Health Facility located in Chino California. The hospital is part of the Universal Health Services Network of Behavioral health facilities. The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care to Children, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics diagnosed with psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders; to ensure the safety and well-being of these patients; to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu. Responsible for maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment, reporting concerns to the nurse, documentation, facilitating or assisting with groups when necessary, following program specifications, and risk management. Responsible for providing direct care and performing duties in accordance with hospital policies and procedures in collaboration with the nursing services team. Will assist in transferring patients using proper lifting techniques. Comply with "turning" schedules for patients with proper documentation. Qualifications Current CNA license. High school level reading and writing skills; acceptable oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting; ability to maintain information as highly confidential; telephone etiquette and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face; familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred; skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the organization; basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology useful; skills in prioritizing and in managing time; problem-solving skills; use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients; empathy toward patients; basic knowledge of 12-step treatment program; insight regarding denial and resistance to treatment; knowledge of the recovery process, including relapse and relapse prevention.
