General description summary:The Quality Control Inspector is a member of the facility Quality Department and gets functional direction from the Quality Control Lead. This position contributes to the success of PLZ CORP Chino Personal Care by sampling the quality control plans or process control procedures that ensure production of the finished product to a standard, ensuring the overall quality of raw materials and finished products following Company Standards. QC Line Inspector works with a diverse group of employees.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (not in any priority):Maintain a safe working environment (and ensure personal safe working practices).Compliance with all employee job safety requirements and regulations required by company policies.In the absence of the immediate Lead, will assume necessary operational and administrative duties.Able to assist with pre-operational inspections and report any concerns.Responsible for reporting any quality concerns to the Quality Assurance Management.Inspection of the production line(s) and Finished Goods (weight, torque, vacuum, prime).Collect micro samples for all Finished Goods and turned in to the Quality Lab.Collect finished good retains (Beginning, middle, End) and turned in to the Quality LabPerform inspection on Screening Department "information on the final prints."Perform AQL tests on all incoming components (approve or reject) and outgoing "kits."Verify COA against all incoming raw material and COC specifications or for all packaging materials.Verify shelf-life date of all incoming ingredients.Create and maintain product master's samples.Verify the final product against established specifications to ensure product quality is met.Ensures that the correct case label, retail label, or inserts are used according to specification.Monitors plant operations to assure the Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) are met.Inform Production or Quality Lead of any Quality issues or processes that become noncompliant with the specified requirement.Ability to assist in action(s) to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to the Quality of the product, processes, and Quality System.Serves as a resource for the production department as needed to ensure quality compliance.Performs other Quality Assurance related job functions assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.Other duties may apply as required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledgeable and experienced in general cosmetic manufacturing.Read, write, and speak English; receive, and provide clear instructions.Qualification:High School Diploma.Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Requires intense oral, written, and communication skills. Bilingual a plus (Spanish).Requires basic knowledge of computer literate and Microsoft office (Word & basic Excel).Working Conditions:Fast-paced manufacturing environment.Work in a production area with fast-moving equipment, moderate to high noise levels, and temperature changes.Perform repetitive lifting, bending, grasping, reaching, pulling, climbing, and work at the computer as needed.Must be able to stand for an extended period.
