Job Description:

The maintenance mechanic is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, perform electrical tasks, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. Job Requirements: Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines and other facility equipment. Install, maintain and repair various electrical control circuits, including single phase and 3 phase systems. Troubleshoot and repair PLC control production machines Read and interpret schematics and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service. - Performs routine maintenance and minor repair of building interior and exterior Occasional welding Completes Preventative Maintenance orders as required Completes Work Orders and Chino Action Items on a timely basis Completes machine Down Time sheets as needed Comply with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area. Trained in and comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures. - Other duties as assignment. Skills: Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment. Must be able to effectively manage time by organizing and planning work Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. -Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing up to 8 hrs per day. Lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. - Use ladders and climb stairs Ability to work at heights Work Environment: Frequently exposed to a non-climate controlled environment. Frequently exposed to dust and loud noise. Frequently exposed to machinery and mechanical, moving parts. Required Education and Experience: HS Diploma or GED Must have some electrical background Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus Must retain a valid driver's license
