immediate opening for a QC Specialist -This is an 8:00am-5:30pm
(M-F); looking for someone with experience as a QC/QA Inspector who
is ready for the next step in their career. JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for ensuring that the products produced at the
manufacturing facility are safe, consistent, of high quality and in
the correct quantity. Good Attendance. Able to work any shift and
extended hours as business dictates. Flexible; able to move from
one type of task to another without loss of speed or efficiency.
Superior problem solving, decision making and organizational
skills. ? Able to follow procedures and instructions. Able to work
in fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Must be
detailed oriented with strong clerical and time management skills.
OTC drug product sampling and inspection with knowledge and
understanding of OTC requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to
lift and pull a minimum of 40 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
Requires walking and standing for lengthy periods of time. ? Must
be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for
extended periods of time. Requires bending, pulling, pushing,
reaching above shoulder/ below waist levels and climbing of stairs.
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Excellent English written
and verbal communication skills. Advanced statistical and
mathematical skills. Familiar with calculator, rulers/other
measuring devices, scales and digital/spring torque meters
desirable. Preferred 2+ years' experience with line inspection,
documentation, Experience in handling nonconformance issues is
required. Knowledge of computer applications (i.e. Microsoft
Office). Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hourJob
Requirements:TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspection of
packaging components, finished goods, and or other items including
all required physical testing. Produce and maintain complete and
accurate records of inspections. Proficient in operation and care
(including preventative maintenance) of all sampling and testing
equipment/tools. Perform OTC drug product sampling and inspection.
Ensure adherence to inspection requirements and customer
specifications. Supervise and monitor inspection activities, staff
and give technical direction when needed. Audit and evaluate
inspection results. Responsible for proper product documentation,
labeling, and safe procedures in distribution. ? Responsible for
products meeting standards, labeled properly and properly
functioning. Inspect supplies that come into the facility and
product intended to leave. Support quality related customer
complaint investigations and treading activities. Understand and
exercise all company safety requirements and procedures. Exercise
and monitor GMP compliance in work environment. Rotate addition
department responsibilities with other inspectors. Responsible for
Line inspectors to be cross-trained for Incoming versus Line
Quality Control. Performs other duties as assigned.
