This position will work within operations finalizing work scopes, gathering bid cost data, assembling the final bid, and work with sales in support of the client. Support as required on project proposals in a timely manner and in accordance with policies, systems, and procedures; projects range from fully defined (conventional "Bid-Build" Projects) to conceptual (alternative procurement such as "Design-Build" Projects).ResponsibilitiesWork efficiently with corporate customers to perform site surveys, create field sketches & notes of work required & transfer to SOW(scope of work) and scaled plans for bid documentsPerform efficient take-offs from bid documents, project prints and plans - for accurate project cost estimatesWin new business by responsively supporting Alpha Sales, cultivating customer relationships, identifying project/work opportunities, and delivering consistent quality and valueAdvise and assist in preparing negotiated proposalsAdvise and assist in recognizing risk on projects being bidRequired QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent in fieldExperience: 8 -10 years in field of estimating experience, including 2 years technical trainingOther RequirementsGood communication skills - both verbal and writtenDemonstrated teamwork skills, professionalism, and integrity, with previous AC and DC Electrical Powering/Grounding, and Building Construction estimatingKnowledge of building construction, materials, and methodsGeneral RequirementsMust be able and willing to do overnight travelThis position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.
