Job Description:

*Position: * Set-Up Technician*Location: *Chino, CA*Shift: * 1st (First shift: 5am-2:30pm)*Pay: * $25 (hourly)*Purpose: *Setup dies in power presses to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw or crimp metal stock.*Essential Job Functions: *Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications.Adjusts feeder speed, loop controller, and other devices to assure problem-free operation.Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to Correct errors.Adjusts ram stroke to specified height.Submits a conforming part to Quality Assurance for inspection and production approval.Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.*Job Duties and Responsibilities*Reviews assigned job cards to ensure all proper information is included.Notifies material handler about job specifications with sufficient time to get any needed supplies once set up is complete. May help unload material required for specific job.Sets air, when required, at the minimum volume possible to assure proper blowing parts.Greases die pins (do not oil die pins), oils die roller bushings (do not grease roller bushings).Cleans work area of debris and lubricates the critical moving parts of the punch press. Makes sure that the proper material lubricant is provided to the operator.Scraps all defective parts made during set-up operations to avoid mixing with good parts to be produced.Closes job cards before leaving presses.Removes and stores the die with the last sample or strip and other related items.Requests a repair tool ticket for every die that requires maintenance.All other duties and projects as assigned to include departmental clean-up and physical inventory.*Qualifications Requirements** Three years' experience and/or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Specialized Training/Knowledge: Assembling, installing, and aligning dies and presses.*Education** High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:* Health insurance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to Friday* Overnight shift* OvertimeEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:* Assembly: 1 year (Required)* Aligning Dyes: 1 year (Required)* Quality assurance: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location
