Description
Oversee day-to-day operations of the food manufacturing facility,
including production scheduling, inventory management, and quality
control processes.
Lead and develop a team of production supervisors and operators,
providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a
high-performing workforce.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain,
R&D, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to drive operational
excellence and achieve company goals.
Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation protocols in
accordance with industry regulations and company standards.
Monitor production metrics and KPIs to identify areas for
improvement and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize
efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for
production processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with
quality standards.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations,
enhance productivity, and minimize waste throughout the
manufacturing process.
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic
plans for business growth and expansion.
Stay current on industry trends, technology advancements, and
regulatory changes to drive innovation and maintain competitive
advantage.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning,
promoting a positive work environment where employees are engaged
and empowered to succeed.
Profile
Minimum of 10 years of experience in food manufacturing operations,
with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business
Administration, or related field.
Strong knowledge of food processing techniques, equipment, and
regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).
Proven track record of driving operational improvements and
achieving measurable results in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment.
Effective Communication Skills - verbal and written - a must;
bilingual a plus.
Prior experience in Food Manufacturing.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proven leadership and ability to train and develop subordinates,
including the ability to conduct training sessions for all plant
personnel.
Must be willing to work occasional weekends and long days when
necessary.
Deep knowledge of production management
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety
regulations
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
Outstanding communication ability
Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
Attention to detail
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
